DIY HOME DECOR

Home decor is one of my faaavorite things! I'm always looking for new ways to spruce up the space I have! A little tid bit on me: My (new) Husband and I just moved into the cutest little one bedroom apartment and I'm obsessed with DIY projects to make it feel a little more like home.

so, Here's a couple things I've done!

WINE BOTTLE VASES:

Save your empty wine bottles! I find a neutral color of paint and you can either paint the whole bottle or make a dripping effect like the one in the picture. The fun part about these is you can add glitter, wrap burlap around them, add lace, however you want to decorate it. I try to keep it simple and neutral colors because with each season, I take a trip to the dollar store and pick out my favorite fake flowers and fill the vases with a little pop of color, and this way you don't have to throw away the flowers! You can bring them back out to showcase anytime!

NECKLACE FRAME:

I'm always on the hunt for a good picture frame, check your local thrift stores or stores like Marshall's or HomeGoods to find affordable fixer upper frames! This one I spray painted white and found "cup hooks" to screw in the inside edge of the frame. Once you get as many hooks in that you need hang up the necklaces and you have a cute organized way to store all your necklaces.

STORAGE CRATES:

These crates can be used for SO many things, which is one of the reasons why I love them so much! one tip I have is to not buy them in a regular retail store, I went on my local online garage sale site and found people selling them for cheap! First step is to find a stain or paint you like, or you can keep the way they come it depends on preference. after you do that you can use them for so many things. we used ours for a little extra storage in our bathroom, but you can use them to build a TV stand, a Coffee Table, Store your shoes, or even use them for decor purposes, the possibilities are endless!
